June 2, 2009 - The first day for my blog. Not really a great adventure today but definitely an adventure. Decided to go to Sam's Club in Woodridge to pick up a few things. As always, the cart was full. But the embarrassing adventure occurred at the checkout. We forgot our debit cards at home and Sam's only takes Mastercard, Discover or debit. We had Visa and Amex. We left the store without anything while the clerk was reloading our cart. I'll definitely wear different clothes in the morning when we return.
Trying to make up for the items we didn't get by going to Costco on the way home just didn't work. They have good stuff but not the stuff we wanted from Sam's. We did pickup a double pack of bagels that our friends, Gerry and Larry Clark, hooked us on.
Who says us retirees don't' have adventures???
